In every situation which I have learned about in today's wold there is one thing in common among them all which is the communication between two parties. Lexington, Kentucky is not different among the homeless situation in this country. There is a struggle every where you look at this moment, but the worse thing is when the people who are getting government grants for programs to help the homeless are abusing the grant money. I know that some individuals here in Lexington, Kentucky are doing their best to feed and help rehouse the homeless, but unfortunately their efforts are falling short. The donations are falling short as well do to the economy at its current point.
Several business in Lexington is struggling do to not as many people working. There are many jobs out here in Lexington, Kentucky for individuals to do, but the problem is that how do the homeless learn about these jobs. I personally know that many of the homeless here can work, but they chose to drink instead of looking for work. The sad part is you tell them what they need to do, but they chose the hand outs over a home. I feel that some of the programs has done what they could to make a difference out here, but the problem is getting people to do for them selves.
At some point in our lives we have to ask our selves if living out side is worth it. People tell me every day that the shelters are doing people wrong and yet they still go there. The way I see it is if you have a problem with what is going on in your life change it. Society has thought us as individuals in the world that we need this or that to accomplish anything well society is wrong we just need the simple will power to do so. You as a person has to push in order to accomplish your goals, but without that push you become another statistic in the world.
Lexington, Kentucky actually has hundreds of jobs that are currently open, and needing workers. I hear people saying that they can't find a job here in Lexington, but that's not true because there are several companies that are needing workers. The Fayette County, Kentucky Health department website offers food handlers certifications for $30, and you get proof of completion right away through your email. I see no reason why people clam that they can't find work here in Lexington, Kentucky. If we all remember sometimes we all have to accept positions that we don't want to get to the top I believe that the financial situation in Lexington, Kentucky would be less of a problem.
